Description
From the volcanic highlands of Jinotega, Nicaragua, this naturally processed coffee showcases the incredible care and craftsmanship of La Bastilla Coffee Estates. Surrounded by protected rainforest and grown at elevations above 1,200 meters, the cherries are hand-selected at peak ripeness before being slowly dried whole. This meticulous natural process allows the fruit’s sugars to infuse the bean, creating a vibrant, fruit-forward cup.
Expect notes of ripe berries, cane sugar, a lemon acidity, with a creamy mouth feel at the end complemented by a smooth body and lingering sweetness. La Bastilla’s proprietary natural processing method enhances the coffee’s unique character while preserving exceptional clarity and balance.
Certified by the Rainforest Alliance since 2003, La Bastilla is committed to sustainable farming and quality at every step. With carefully managed micro-farms and its own on-site mill, the estate produces some of Nicaragua’s finest specialty coffees, each reflecting the unique microclimate where it was grown.
